Epiphany

This past semester with Calculus kicking my trash again and relationships gone awry, it has been rough on my sense of learning and progressing in my education and even in my life. At times it has felt like a waste of a semester and feeling like I made wrong choice after wrong choice. Tonight that changed when I got handed this rose and certificate. I may not have a lot to show from worldly perspective on my advancements in education or career or even social status, but to realize all of the spiritual growth and knowledge I have gained from my Institute classes, I feel like I was exactly where I needed to be at the right time. I may be unsure of where I'm headed or what I'll be doing, but the things that I learned there I can take with me, making the future seem not quite so scary.

I'm in the Hunger Games!!!

I'd like to say I have an "in" with the Dixie State newspaper staff, which led me to get to be involved in the DIXIE SUNGER GAMES. Here it is, and if you feel the urge, vote for me to keep me "alive":

"You've read the books. You've seen the movie. Now it's time to experience "The Games" Dixie State College style. The Reaping has occurred, and these are the 18 DSC tributes to compete in the inaugural Dixie Sunger Games. Our tributes won't be thrown into an arena to fight to the death, but they do need your votes to win. Check out their profiles here and then cast a vote for your favorite."

***Vote for Alexa Kienlen at www.facebook.com/Dixie.sun, email your vote to dixiesun@dixie.edu, or my name to 435-574-9733!!!! THANKS!
